Lautoka Finishes Unbeaten

The Lautoka football team finished unbeaten in the 2017 Vodafone Premier League after beating Rewa 4-0 in the last match of the competition at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori last Saturday.
The Kamal Swamy coach side end the competition with 40 points after registering 13 wins and one draw throughout the season. The 1-1 was against the now relegated Rakiraki side in the first round.
In the match proper Rewa started the match without the services of their seven regular players but fought well in the first half.
Lautoka midfielder Zibraaz Saheb got the opener in the 43rd minute and took the led 1-0 at the break.
In the 56th minute replacement striker Mohammed Shameem doubled Lautoka’s advantage while in the 75th minute Saheb got his second and Sekove Finau wrapped up the big win in the injury time.
The Blues will represent Fiji as the top qualifier in the 2018 OFC Champions League. The Sugar City side will be accompanied by second finishers Ba to the regional competition which is expected to commence in March, 2018.
